Buddy
Check9 has been a part of 9NEWS
for more than 10 years.
We are proud of our commitment to the community.
The
idea behind the Buddy Check9 program is quite simple. On
the 9th of every month, we ask women to do a monthly breast
self-exam and then call their "buddy" to remind
her to do the same. Their buddy can be a family member,
colleague or friend. Hundreds of women have found lumps;
the majority of them are not malignant. Our hope is that
cancer is discovered in its early stages, when it is most
treatable.

New
Buddy Check Calendar
This
year's calendar features fifteen amazing women who've
survived breast cancer and are now sharing their
stories.
Copies of the calendar will be available at this year's
Race For the Cure.

Last Year's
Calendar
The 2008 Buddy Check9 calendar was printed with a
mistake. The configurations of November 2008 and
December
2008
were incorrect.
The new 2008-2009 calendars include these
months corrected, as well
as the entire 2009 calendar. Until then, you are
welcome to print off the corrected version of these
calendars to place with your current Buddy Check
Calendar.
